Danbury, Connecticut – Both Ridgewood Country Club and golfers competing in the 86th Connecticut Open presented by Reby Advisors have reason to celebrate: The historic country club commemorates its 100-year anniversary by hosting the prestigious annual tournament from August 3 to 5 – and the players will now contend for an elevated $60,000 purse.
Robert Reby, Founder and CEO of Reby Advisors, said: "Ridgewood is a beautiful, challenging course, rich with tradition. The tricky greens, wonderful condition, and elevation changes make it ideal for the Connecticut Open. As an avid golfer and sports fan, I’m excited to attend. As a firm, we are grateful for the opportunity to present it.”
This will be the fourth Connecticut Open Championship hosted at Ridgewood Country Club. This year’s tournament will be 54-hole stroke play championship. The Connecticut State Golf Association (CSGA) will set up the course at approximately 6,800 yards and a par of 71.
