I am excited to announce the upcoming release of my second book!
Wealth Redefined: Charting the Way to Personal and Financial Freedom will be released in late July on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and many independent online retailers.
At its core, Wealth Redefined is all about achieving your unique version of financial independence and enhanced peace of mind. It's about developing a financial plan that supports the lifestyle you want to live, minimizing risk for yourself and your family, and being confident in your financial future.
The deep team of talented people here at Reby Advisors challenge themselves and me to become better fiduciary advisors every day. The advice within Wealth Redefined reflects a lot of the enhanced strategies we've developed since my last book, Retire Without Worry, was published in March 2004.
As you know, a lot has happened since then!
Smartphone adoption was less than 2%. Facebook was theFacebook.com, available only to students at four Ivy League schools. The Red Sox, White Sox, and Cubs were still enduring decades-long championship droughts. And Donald Trump was hosting the first season of The Apprentice!
The Great Recession, Bernie Madoff, Occupy Wall Street, Brexit, regulatory upheaval, "Robo" advisors, and a lot more have dramatically changed the financial planning industry. Financial consumers are more knowledgeable today than ever before - and that's a good thing - but there's also more misinformation and unwarranted pessimism from today's "gurus."
I was reflecting on all of these changes a few years ago, and realized it was time for a new book!
As you might expect if you know us well, the advice within the book is highly relevant for anyone who has recently retired or plans to retire within the next 15 years.
However, I believe Wealth Redefined has universal value beyond our typical client base. My hope is that it ends up in the hands of forward-thinking Millennials, Generation X, and people who may not be able to afford a financial advisor. Contributing author Gregg Ruais and I worked hard to ensure that the book is accessible and helpful to people at all ages and income levels.
The earlier you start planning - the more success you'll have!
