As the Trump Administration seeks a key legislative win, its focus has turned to tax reform. The President's plans face significant political hurdles, and the exact nature of the reform that actually gets through Congress is far from certain. However, it appears likely that Congress will use budget reconciliation to enact changes to the current tax code.
In a recent presentation in Danbury, Connecticut, John Ross, Senior Vice President of Investment Research & Risk Management at Rogerscasey, an Investment Consulting firm that contributes to the Reby Advisors Investment Policy Committee, discussed the five key areas of President Trump's tax reform plans.
Ross detailed the President's "wish list" for changes to the tax code for individuals and corporations, the hurdles to a legislative victory, the costs of tax reform, and how it may impact markets. Watch the video above for Ross's and Rogerscasey's non-partisan and objective analysis:
Additional clips from his presentation will be shared here on this blog in the coming weeks. The series will cover international trade, infrastructure investment, and deregulation - all with a focus on how these potential changes may impact markets and your portfolio.
